It started with a K-1
Arch began in 2018, when three people approaching the same problem from different angles came together.
Customer obsession and relentless problem-solving is central to our identity. Arch started by solving our first client’s biggest problem: hundreds of K-1s, scattered across outdated portals.
Unlike public markets, the infrastructure for alts had fallen behind. Ryan, CEO and co-founder, heard the frustration firsthand while working at an investment advisory firm. Co-founders Jason, COO, and Joel, both MIT engineers, saw it from two different angles; Jason through data collection and reconciliation as a hedge fund quant, Joel through scaling engineering teams as a founding engineer at early-stage companies.
Together, they built the infrastructure tools that they and their clients wanted. Arch has since expanded capabilities across documents and alternative asset classes to deliver insights that help investors and institutional allocators make better decisions.
Our obsession continues to drive how we build. Today, over half of our clients have referred us to another firm. And we are still just getting started to build one-click private markets.
